A note from the FacilitatorBetter late than never! On the last day of autumn, here we are with the Autumn edition of Yarrilinks Loop! It has been a very, very busy past couple months of grant applications, travel, event prep and planning. Read on for updates about our upcoming events, such as our mushroom workshop next week! Meeting with Mushrooms: Fungal Ecology and Identification10 am - 2:30 pm, Thursday 6th June, Murtoa Golf Club This workshop introduces participants to the diversity of the Kingdom Fungi and the basic principles of fungus identification. It will cover ecological, cultural and conservation aspects of fungi. We will also be heading out into the field, so please check the forecast and dress accordingly. Lunch will be provided! Register by Monday 3rd June 2024 |

Boolite Plantout with Minyip Landcare GroupSaturday 20th July, Boolite Minyip Landcare Group will host the 2024 Yarrilinks Plantout this year. We’re planting a vegetation corridor on the property of a local farmer that will help link a remnant woodland with the Dunmunkle Creek. As we are working with a small site, places are limited. Members of Minyip Landcare Group, Yarrilinks, and local folks will get a chance to sign up first. Expressions of interest are open now at the link below. |

Our next meeting will be in late June 2024, so if you would like an issue raised, please get in touch with Alicia. If you are interested in joining the committee, or even just sitting in on a meeting, please reach out for a chat. We are always keen for new members!

Alicia submitted 4 Landcare grant applications for Yarrilinks and our other member groups. If successful, these grants will fund the network’s activities over the next year. |

Yarrilinks and Lah Landcare Group celebrated National Eucalypt Day on 23 March with an event about the Yarriambiack Mallee-Box, a species of eucalyptus tree found only in a small area near Brim. |
