2025 VLG Project proposals
Each year Landcare groups and networks are afforded the opportunity to apply for Victorian Landcare Grant funding from the state Government to support on-grounds projects, education, and capacity building activities, that protect and restore natural environments, for the year ahead. This year, a total of $3.55 million is available for project and support grants across Victoria, and Yarrilinks Landcare network, Minyip Landcare group, Rupanyup VFF Landcare group, Lah Landcare group, and Wallup Ag Group have all made submissions for projects aimed at furthering Landcare’s impact in the region.
Yarrilinks Landcare Network
Project title - Identifying and protecting high value natural assets while engaging the community in Landcare.
Objectives - Surveying of both the Yariambiack and Dunmunkle Creeks for species identification and potential places of water refuge for biodiversity. This will include bird monitoring and insect surveys at selected sites. Yarrilinks also hope to facilitate community engagement activities at both the Warracknabeal and Murtoa agricultural shows in 2025 with funding support.
Minyip Landcare Group

Rupanyup VFF Landcare Group
Project Title - Revegetation, bird monitoring, and nest boxes for Rupanyup and beyond.
Objectives - This project is looking at working with the Rupanyup Men’s Shed to build assorted nest boxes for habitat to be distributed locally and within fire affected regions, whilst facilitating revegetation projects on private property and ongoing weed control across the Rupanyup reservoir.
Lah Landcare Group
