Victorian Landcare Forum 2024
Landcare Victoria is set to host the 2024 Victorian Landcare Forum in Bendigo from 9-10th May, and Yarrilinks is providing funding to sponsor member attendance. The Landcare Forum is an engagement opportunity for the Landcare community across Victoria to come together and share stories, promote best practice, and grow Landcare across the state.
Day 1 - Thursday, 9th May:
Forum: at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre. Topics to include collaborating and combining management practices, aggregating action for landscape scale impacts, water in the landscape and learning from our peers
Dinner: at the All Seasons Resort Hotel, Bendigo. Featuring a presentation from Geoff Park on the Moolort Wetlands Project
Day 2 - Friday, 10th May: Two different bus tour options are available:
Option 1: Showcasing Landcare in Bendigo
Option 2: Showcasing partnerships between Traditional Owners and Landcare
There will also be a Professional’s Day and on the 8th May prior to the forum, specifically for those working in Landcare.
Yarrilinks Sponsorship Opportunity
Yarrilinks has funds available to sponsor members to attend the Victorian Landcare Forum. This is a great opportunity to build capacity in Landcare in our area and network with other Landcare members.
Please express interest using the form below and Alicia will be in touch to explain the potential costs involved and details of Yarrilinks proposed sponsorship. The funds available to each person may depend on the number of applications we receive.
Eligibility: You must:
Live or work in the Yarrilinks Area, and
Be a Yarrilinks Member (sign up free here), or a paid-up member of one of the Landcare Groups in our network (Lah, Minyip and Rupanyup). Contact Alicia if you are unsure.
Agree to submit a short report (250-500 words plus a couple photos) after the forum for publication on this website.
Agreed costs will be reimbursed after the forum upon submission of the report and tax invoices. There may be opportunities to carpool with other attendees.
If you do not live or work in the Yarrilinks Area or aren’t sure, please contact Alicia to find out if a neighboring Landcare Network may be able to support your attendance.
